DescriptionSo many memories tied to this piece. What started out as a simple purchase ended up being a commission that will always be cherished. This tugs at me from a very personal, deeply emotional level and it's a great feeling when your favourite artist surprises you with a gem like this. There's a quiet poetry about this... as I said before, it really speaks at me personally. It may not be his most provocative but I do think that it's one of his most evocative. Mr. O'Barr, thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. You are truly a gentleman and you made this long time fan thrilled to the point of disbelief. **Just wanted to share what came in the mail one day... just before the arrival of this piece. Amongst the bills, flyers and magazines I spotted this post card. Now, I thought my brother (a huge Crow fan) sent it but he only lives an hour away. When I turned it over, my hands started to shake. James wrote this and sent it, explaining the situation of the 'Wood Waif I' which leads to the commission that is now 'Wood Waif II'. Note the little 'crow' remark above the stamp.** Social/Sharing |

Wow...this is amazing. I actually like this piece better than much of his Crow stuff! A fantastic addition to your already-awesome collection, Holly! Congratulations!!! :D

I love James' work. On the back of the piece that I own, he tells the story of the piece in tremendous detail. James is the man!

Such a beautiful illustration, with a really feeling of tranquility about it. It certainly demonstrates O'Barr's versatility as an artist.
