DescriptionHere is a very intriguing piece of original artwork, indeed!Original pencil drawings of Batman and Talia Al Ghul by the super talented Jerry Bingham. This piece represents some of the first drawings ever done for the groundbreaking and award winning graphic novel, Batman Son of the Demon (DC, 1987). SOD was the very first Batman graphic novel ever published by DC, so very significant and ultra successful that it not only thrilled and enthralled readers around the globe, but has served as an lasting inspiration for an innumerable amount of comic book creators, writers and artists alike (including Alex Ross) for decades since its original publication back in 1987. Brilliantly written by Mike W. Barr and beautifully illustrated by Bingham, this book is just simply overloaded with various key and timeless elements, which make it so very, very special - Batman marrying Talia and having a son with her and teaming up with his arch-foe Ra's Al Ghul to take down the dangerous terrorist Qayin, whose diabolical plans threaten the entire planet. Each page was rendered on twice-up format, 13" x 19" paper and was painstakingly inked with a quill pen for maximum dramatic detail and epic effectiveness. This piece features fully rendered and detailed pencil illustrations of both The Batman and the beautiful, yet deadly Talia Al Ghul, only daughter of his arch-foe, Ra's Al Ghul. The leaping figure of Batman, which is excellent, is 7" tall. However, it is the incredibly striking full figure image of lovely Talia that is the most impressive of all, standing 9" tall. The Batman image was published in the forward of the Hard Cover Edition of SOD, written by Mark Hamill. Signed by Bingham at lower right. Social/Sharing |

Fantastic to see these drawings. Is that border from a past framing of the art?
