DescriptionOriginal artwork for Superboy #162 (DC, 1970) by Bob Brown (pencils and inks). From the story "The Super-Phantom of Smallville," this page features both Superboy and Krypto the Super Dog in the Phantom Zone. The Phantom Zone villains almost make good a scheme to get themselves freed with the help of Cha-Mel, a chameleon-powered inmate who imitates Superboy. Young Kal-El is tricked into switching places with Cha-Mel, but ultimately their plot is thwarted thanks to some intervention by the clever Krypto; who reactivates the Phantom Zone Projector and switches Superboy and Cha-Mel back again. Bottom tier has two cute panels of Krypto.Social/Sharing |
