DescriptionSo here's a first for the Birthday Collection...a panel comic!"The Neighbors" began its run in 1939 when Clark moved from the distributor who handled his previous strip ("Side Glances") and continued until 1971. While there were a couple of book collections, Clark and "The Neighbors" has sunk into obscurity today. I like this one not only because it's got a solid (if a bit dated) gag, but because Clark's brush strokes are so natural, fluid and lively, even in a simple domestic scene like this. Social/Sharing |

Lovely. I used to read The Neighbors back in the day. Beautifully rendered.
