DescriptionThis one is interesting.I bought it because it was a "birthday" strip, but once it arrived, I realized that there was a whole different set of dialogue underneath the one for 10/21/1974. Not only that, he changed Pat's hairstyle to match her '74 look. Looking at other examples from this period (the last year of the strip's existence), it seems that Grubert did this a lot in the months before the strip ended. The new dialogue kind of points to a bit of nostalgia, as if Grubert were thinking about his long association with newspapers. To the best of my ability, I digitally restored the original version of the strip. Basically, it's like getting two strips in one! Social/Sharing |

The two-for-one is very cool! I used to read this comic strip every day. Great pickup!
