Pat and Normandie are engaged...its official! Just look at Normandie and her eyes in the blue-washed third panel! What will Normandie's aunt do now? We already know she doesn't approve of the ruffian Pat Ryan seeing her debutante niece. Stay tuned tomorrow for the next instalment in this sequence of 4 daiies plus a fifth tie in that is pretty great.

Nice use of the blue to show that only the white light can get between these two as their love is pure. On that third panel their chemistry brightens the entire panel until it is abruptly stopped.

Totally agree Jeff...her wide eyed look peeking out over Pat's shoulder is the money shot. Caniff's application of blue wash is so well placed. Simply beautiful.
