Description(January 2006) An exquisite piece by the very talented Steve Epting. It beautifully portrays Captain America, Iron Man and the Falcon with the NYC skyline in the background centered on the Chrysler building. Special thanks to Nick for parting with this cover.Social/Sharing |

John - I don't know how you do it. I can't get Nick to part with half a cheeseburger, but you somehow get this remarkable cover which features (a) one of the largest Cap images in the run, with (b) a great Cap action pose and (c) the two other characters, Falcon (friend) and Iron Man (foe) who have come to define Cap through the decades. All this and a spankingly awesome shot of the Chrysler building too! Captastic Congratulations my friend!

John, what can I say - you are fairly new to the hobby but you have already become a true collector and one to be reckoned with. This Epting Captain America cover is arguably the best Cap cover in his highly coveted run; Epting’s run on Captain America is epic and historic. And I’m sure you will agree that Steve is the best draftsman in comics today by far. I rank this Cap series among the best written and drawn comics in the past 20 years. In fact, I was drawn back into comics in 2005 from a 10 year hiatus with this Brubaker/Epting run on Captain America. When I read the first issue of Steve’s Cap, I was stunned by the quality of his art and amazed with his wash-tone technique; Hey, nobody draws Cap like Steve Epting - period; I did not want to ever sell any of Steve’s Cap covers but I don’t mind because I’m sure you will treasure it as much as I did and more.

One of the Great Captain America Covers of the modern era, and a fine example of Epting's superb detailing! Congrats again
