Description

The War of the Worlds broadcast has always fascinated me. A youthful Orson Welles played the ultimate Halloween prank on an unsuspecting nation. Roy Thomas and Michael Lark added the grandfather of superheroes to the mix in their retelling of the classic tale. I love this story! Michael Lark is an artist who wonderfully uses black and white areas in his storytelling. The noir touch on his pages is always quite striking. I love the character design , architectural elements, period settings, and Martians he created for this story. A fantastic alternate, alternate, history.
