Description

I bought this piece while having dinner with fellow art collectors a SDCC 2017. I asked Bill Willingham who this never used character was and oddly enough it was originally a Matt Wagner creation. Here is the story directly from Mr. Willingham.

"It has an odd story. When I first pitched the notion of a Shadowpact series to DC, it was going to be all new characters based on classic monsters. This was the vampire character whose name, I believe, was going to be Blackmark. The costume was actually designed by Matt Wagner for a short-lived V&V game I ran in our Philadelphia studio way back when. I liked the costume design so much I traded Matt the cover art to Elementals #3 for the rights to the costume. I still may make use of it someday. Who knows?"
