Description

1989, acrylics, 10" X 15" image area on 11" X 16" board. My all time favorite Dave Dorman painting. Used to have a print of this hanging in my store for years. I asked Dave about it over the years whenever I saw him but he wasn't interested in selling it. Last year things finally came together at the right time and I am now the proud owner. This was used in a bunch of places, the Heavy Metal cover, the cover to Mayhem #3, used for a TORG module and then the Under Pressure print. Probably other places as well.

For many years this has been my all-time favourite piece by Dave as well. Like you, Tom, I had asked him if he would sell it, and at the time, it was simply unavailable,so I had to settle for a signed print...

One of my favorite HM covers. I think it was the first one my LCS owner would let me buy as I just turned 18. :D

I stumbled on a copy of the German version of the Torg module that used this the other week. Fir some reason they went with a less-cropped version than West End Games used on the English version.

All of Dave's work is special. There can be no argument on that. This piece is exceptional to me for two reasons:

1) She looks like Belinda Carlisle.

2) It ticks the age-old box that one should never face danger without an ample amount of picture-perfect cleavage showing.
