Description

Mike Grell was my first Legion artist so anytime that I get a chance to add something that he even partially put his hands to, into my "Imaginary Legion Crisis-esque Event " is a very good day indeed.

I won the pencil sketch of Saturn Girl ( image below ) by him on Ebay and then handed it over to artist extraordinaire and fellow Legion fan, John Watson and he went to work.

He inked it beautifully and then in the shards of shattered glass added obscure characters like Beast Boy ( from the Heroes of Lallor ), fellow telepaths like Tellus, other versions of Imra and even linked it with another of the Infinite Timelines story-lines, the " When Worlds Collide " by adding in images of Mentalla, The Scarlet Witch & Moondragon. It is a lovely addition and Russell Payne added depth and style with his logo work. As always I commend these good folks to others, who want to breathe life into their ideas and commissions.

Excellent. John Watson draws a great Legion and using Grell as a base is a wonderful place to start. Nice tribute to the Amethyst cover, too.
