DescriptionThis one is special for a few reasons. First, a friend, & fellow Legion collector, Dave Rash, after years of trying to persuade him, finally joined CAF. So, I wanted to post something to celebrate this moment. Ferro Lad is his favorite Legionnaire, so here we are ....He like Ferro Lad ,is a man with an amazing code of honor, can be as strong and stubborn as steel , fiercely loyal & in brotherly bonds has displayed, every bit of a generous, giving heart as Andrew Nolan did. The title I chose " Inner Light " speaks to the inner strength that so many of us never knew we had until the time of testing came ... I asked Barry to add the tears...a wise person once told me that there is a direct relationship between the depth of sorrow & the depth of love.. It is special because it is by Barry Kitson. I admire his work and we are friends. Precisely because we are friends, I haven't asked him to do pieces for me,over the years .I enjoy watching his creative process, almost as much as owning his work. This year in Baltimore, thanks to a Hero Initiative donation, I got to see him do this gem and to bring it home. He did this detailed piece in amazing time. It highlights two Legion characters who are appearing in my "Metallic Messiah " and by the time that story ends, they will be linked together in a whole new way. Russ did a great job reversing the Green Lantern logo ( when Barry realized his error, he wanted to tear it up & start again & I was NOT about to let that happen ! ) and providing it with so many details, like the ghostly soft-light effect that makes it pop. The Inner Light shines in us all...we just need to be less afraid of showing it & sharing it with the world. Enjoy Aidan Social/Sharing |

Ferro Lad is, in some ways, the greatest hero in the Galaxy. Stupid Sun-Eater!
