DescriptionThis is a gem of a piece by Mark Dos Santos. I had set up to do this piece with another artist and pick it up at last years Baltimore Comic Con. When I asked the artist about it, he just shrugged his shoulders and said he would get to it eventually. Needless to say the transaction ended then and there. But only a couple of booths away was Mark. I loved his superhero Saturday Evening Post style and asked him about doing something. He was gracious, his pricing was reasonable but he had a few others things to finish. He asked me to leave the references and when I came through the convention on Sunday, he unveiled the above. He did an awesome job and in record time. Russ played around on the edges digitally and along with the logo and wording, he added for continuity and dramatic effect the "Red Skies - Crisis motif " . I think he did a great job with it . This evil incarnation of Superwoman was one of the best villains created to be a nemesis for Supergirl. I love the outfit, the twisted Superman family connection, so I wanted her to play a strong part in this story-line. Enjoy Aidan Social/Sharing |

Nice! The future does not look too bright for poor Umbra! :(

I'm not that familiar with this version of Superwoman, but what a striking costume---especially with the tones used on this cover! Seems like Umbra has her work cut out for her!

Seems like Umbra has her work cut out for her!The costume is very original. In this version Superwoman is a genetically enhanced Lucy Lane with an incredible range of powers. Her father , General Sam Lane saw Lois as a traitor and her sister Lucy as part of earths first line of defense against alien invaders aka Kryptonians Superman & Supergirl. It made for some great dynamics.
