DescriptionOnce I decided to do the Booster Gold cover,as Chapter 7 of The Prime time Paradox,http://cafurl.com?i=21000 Then, it was a no-brainer to take on this one also, as they were always meant to be a set. As in the original, it features Umbra & Superwoman but this time because the sudden reappearance of the Time Trapper shifted things, the tables are turned. Umbra is not just a woman who casts shadows but she is a warrior who does not accept defeat. Robb Phibbs did the original pencils & I was thrilled to finally get the legendary inker Bob Almond to be part of an Infinite Timelines event. The Trapper's surprise entrance shifted the balance in favor of Umbra but it could just as easily work against the other Legionnaires. Russ did a great job on a graphics heavy cover & added the "Crisis Skies " effect in for good measure. Enjoy Aidan Social/Sharing |

Great piece---quite a difference from the old "Shadow Lass" days, eh? Fantastic reimagining of a classic cover!

While I'm not familiar with Robb Phibbs,he did do nice job on this cover. The Almond inks are a plus. Surprised this is your first time working with him. Nice to see Umbra kicking some a$$.

Nice to see Umbra kicking some a$$.I found Robb Phibbs on Ebay. He was quite reasonable. Bob is a great guy and I of course recommend him to anyone but Chris Ivy does most of my inks.

This is just a spectacular work of comic art. When I see the thought and effort that goes into choosing your commissions, I almost feel like a slacker.:-) Phipps did an amazing job here, and Bob inks are absolutely stellar! Take a bow, my friend.
