Description

Although it is a sad subject, this Batgirl cover was so charming that I knew I wanted to include it in this story-line. Three years ago at the Baltimore Comic Con, Barry Kitson and I were chatting. I loved his depiction of Colossal Boy ( or Micro-Lad as he persisted in calling himself ). It always struck me that he drew a face that didnt have the classic, square jaw look of most heroes but a very kind and open face that was without guile. So, we have 2 characters connected in grief. I really like the tag-line "small comfort " as it has a double meaning in the face of such a huge loss. It took a while as Barry is always incredibly busy but it is A GEM OF A PIECE.
Russ loved working on this one and it shows.

I can see why Russ liked working on this one. Besides being Kitson, it's a very moving image! Did I mention Kitson? So nice to see him drawing anything Legion related! Bravo!!
