DescriptionMy self imposed rule is that I choose only non-Legion covers in this "Infinite Timelines" event, to highlight the fact that the Legion of Superheroes can dovetail into so many different genres, eg: War, Mystery, Romance, Horror, Western etc etc. But as I love the Legion, so I of course love classic Legion covers. The original Nick Cardy cover ( image below ) which was used in a short series of reprint tales was a favorite of mine. It is beautifully constructed but rules are rules, so I couldn't use it.I could on the other hand use this Superman Issue 313 cover, which just happens to be a homage to the afore-mentioned cover. The swinging figure is wild and Rick Burchett gave it a unique twist that makes it pop ! Another little note, I thank Russ all the time for his work but often it is the little things that make the difference. Power Boy as a minor Legion character ,does not have his own logo but Russ designed one that is keeping with the original artist costume design. And now back to the battle. Laurel Kent fell first and Kent Shakespeare is going down for the count, can Power Boy survive ? And wherever goes Power Boy, we know that Gravity Kid is not going to be too far away Enjoy Aidan Social/Sharing |

I appreciate the lengths you go to stick within the parameters of your theme.

Next week is a Marvel Team Up cover but in 2 weeks it is a Marvel Two In One Cover, so y'all come back now ya hear !

Beautiful! Stargrave reminds me of Manning's Robot Fighter stuff here. Wonderful :)

She is taking the death of her other Earth Counterpart very badly indeed and REVENGE is on her mind.

Great effort by Rick, I think he is a very underappreciated artist.

Fun stuff. In the for what it's worth column, the Cardy cover was a rework of Adventure #328 by Curt Swan and George Klein.

I love those grey tones that Rick uses! And yes, Russell is one of the true heroes of your commissions series, always adding just the right touches!

I wasn't reading Legion during Kent's time period , but these covers make him stand out.
