Description

Angela (Spawn) issue 2 page 13. This amazing splash page is a defining moment in the history of Spawn. Here, Spawn reveals himself in Heaven for the first time, declaring "In life I was Al Simmons, these days they call me Spawn". Spawn's costume was reacting violently to being in Heaven, causing his fierce appearance (referred to as "Spiked Spawn").

- The issue was written by Neil Gaiman, who went on to have a lengthy legal battle with McFarlane about Angela and other characters.

- This artwork was also used on a the dust-cover to the Japanese Angela comic, and as a trading card: Spawn "Spogz" #38
