Description

I've appreciated Brian Hurtt's unique style since I first saw it back in the first volume of Steve Gerber's Hard Times series. His work on the Damned was even more mind-blwing. Ben Grimm's ongoing poker games are some of my favorite non-action moments in comics when I asked Brian to do a piece for me featuring a scene of one of these poker games, he exceeded my expectations!

This is a great commission idea that has been totally rocked by one of the best. Brian Hurtt is amazing with his fluidity and characterization as well as his detail. Truly one of the coolest pieces I have seen.

Ben Grimm Poker Games have been during the decades some of the most funny anticlimatic landmarks of Marvel continuity (much better than X-Men baseball games, which always remind me about Pogo). This is a great depiction. Congrats for both execution AND choice of the subject!
