One of the most fun, ongoing scenerios in comics during my yunger days was the depiction of Ben Grimm hosting poker games with his super-hero buddies. It was always interesting to see who would show up and the character development and interactions during these games really gave a sense of realism and depth to the Marvel Universe for me. As my original art collection began to grow and I began to seek out more original commissions, it struck me that it would be a blast to revisit this area that I have such a fondness for. I find myself smiling widely with each new piece produced and am struck by the choices and details that each artist brings to the request. I typically ask for Ben, Logan and Spidey (Since he is a favorite of mine), asking the artists to add 2-3 other characters of their choosing. Not only has this been much fun for me, there is little doubt that many of the creators have a hoot developing the scenes and stories, adding their own sensibilities for truly unique pieces. Thanks to each person who has contributed to this, allowing the 10 year old in me to smile widely and dream enthusiastically!
