Description

Weird World gatefold splash

As explained by the project's editor, they created a kind of "production-line system" to produce the full-color pages, which allowed Marvel to color-separate from the color originals.

So after John B pencilled the pages, Rudy Nebres inked the foreground figures in black ink. The page would then go to Ledger (a painter and airbrush artist) who did watercolor backgrounds, returned it to Nebres who used colored inks to ink backgrounds and distance-elements (to create illusion of depth), and finally back to Ledger for final touches of tempera (strong foreground elements) and airbrush effects.

The end result was a true masterpiece, and I'm thrilled to have gotten this amazing specimen from the series!

i really like this- very sharp! i remember my brother picking this up for me at the store and we both loved this 3 part arc.
