Description

This fourteenth squad of Legionnaires by Joel Carroll once again features the post-Zero Hour Legion. While most of these costumes are from the 90's, I don't think they've aged badly, and I still like all of them. Star Boy has consistently had great costumes since his original, and this one stands out for not having any star field on it. Because Mon-El, er, M'Onel, took it and it looked great on him as well! I also really dug XS and Inferno's short pants, because fighting supervillains in skirts is generally ridiculous.

The lineup here consists of Inferno, LeViathan, Magno, M'Onel, XS, Umbra and Star Boy. Every time I see Joel's version of another group of Legionnaires, I want DC to torture him by having him draw an all-ages, loose-continuity Legion book. This team looks like it could kick butt and take names, but Joel took care to make sure that XS and Magno were grinning, showing their personalities. I also just love how pissed off Inferno looks, which is exactly how she should always look. Give it up once again for Joel Carroll, ladies and gentlemen!
