Description"Countdown" Part 1 of 5!I love how Humberto Ramos & Wayne Faucher artistically re-designed one of Spidey's greatest villains with this issue ... especially since years later, Ramos would draw the historic run on Amazing Spider-Man that eventually put Doctor Octopus's consciousness into Peter Parker's body, resulting in the Superior Spider-Man. The new 2004 Doc Ock was so much more hip, with his black leather jacket and slicked back hair. This particular Spectacular Spider-Man 5-part storyline of course coincided with the movie "Spider-Man 2" which starred Alfred Molina as Spidey's tentacled adversary, a movie which gave us a wonderful cinematic take on this wonderfully evil villain. Hard to believe it has been 15 years since that movie came out !! Social/Sharing |

Sweet Ramos Spider-Man cover Paul! That’s one humongous image of Spidey! Ramos is such a talented artist. His style has evolved over the years, but his art from any era is equally brilliant! Congrats!

just thinking about this very cover the other day! Isn't there a law against having so many nice Ramos's in one's collection? A real great cover! Congrats.

Oh, this is so nice Paul. A killer cover in Humberto's earlier style from his earlier run on Spider-Man! Sweet that you've got this and Peter Parker 34! A real 3D feel to this one, too! Congrats on another great get, man!

I loved Ramos's initial Spidey run on these issues. And I appreciate how his art style changed as the years went on.
This is SUCH a classic cover to me. Congrats!
