DescriptionOne of my favorite story lines of the early to mid '90s was the Clone Saga. Yes, I know it was controversial, yes I know it went on for a long time, but the emotions that I -- and lots of Spidey fans -- felt during the whole experience were very real.I remember when Ben Reilly appeared back on the scene after an extended absence. I remember Aunt May in peril. I remember when it was revealed that Peter Parker was the clone and had been for years (I was sitting in a McDonalds in Vancouver BC when I read that issue, and I let out a huge 'yelp' of surprise that made a lot of heads turn), and I remember when that whole thing was debunked and Peter resumed the mantle ... It was a crazy time, and to this day, I have not been affected as much by any other series of Marvel plot twists. So when I had the opportunity to buy this cover that was penciled by one of the original "Clone Saga" architects (and one of my very favorite Spidey artists) Mark Bagley, and inked by the great Drew Hennessy, I had to grab it. In this fantastic image, you get Spidey, Ben in his Scarlet Spider hoodie, the sinister & maniacal Jackal, Gwen, MJ, and the character who consistently threw a wrench into the works -- Kaine. Many people make it their life's work to best the "fastest gun in the Mid-West" -- P A. Very few achieve that goal. You are one of the few. Well done.

Man, this has all the look of early 90's SPidey, but much better art, as Bagley has improved by leaps and bounds since then. Love that Gwen Stacey, va-va-voom!

Again, and again, the Paul punches keep coming. Huge Congrats, man!!! What a cover!! As you know, I totally share your feelings about that period, that story-arc and especially the big Ben Reilly reveal that he really was the real McCoy from the get-go - and still is in my teenage mind. Although I prefer Bagley's Spideys depictions from the 90's (big eyes and more athletic anatomies,) Mark, without a doubt, improved his storytelling and overall skills.

"Spider-Man: Clone Saga - The Movie" :) Couldn't deny the movie poster feel to the collage-y image, which is great, as it includes so much related to this story that's renowned for many! Love Gwen's expression here and I've become a big fan of Kaine so that looming image in the back really rounds this out excellently for me! Congrats, man!
