DescriptionGrail piece!!!What If Spider-Man -- and everyone in the Marvel Universe -- had aged naturally over the years since they were first introduced, and we got to see them reacting to the key events of the decades through which they lived? This was the premise of Spider-Man: Life Story, which follows Peter Parker from age 15 (Amazing Fantasy 15, 1962) to when he was in his early 70s. Each issue represents another decade in the life of the wall crawler. And THIS spec-TACULAR DPS is a montage of all the characters in the mid 1980s, when Peter was in his mid to later 30s. The caption for this DPS is 1984, which for me was my early college years. I still absolutely love the movies and music from that time. And any show that focuses on the 1980s (Stranger Things, The Goldbergs, Freaks & Geeks, etc) is a wonderful thing in my book. And WOW, Mark Bagley did an INCREDIBLE job with this series. He must be one of the hardest working artists in the biz, and his output is always incredibly solid and appealing. So ... YAYYYYY! Extremely happy to add this one to my collection. Social/Sharing |

I'm a bit partial to the right side, but the whole thing is just sick! There are double splashes and then there's this. Absolutely nuts, but of course in a good way. Congrats buddy!

Astonishingly FUNtastic double page splash, Pauly! Am I surprised YOU were the one who nailed down this piece? Of course not! Am I happy you did? Of course I am! Just another fab Bagley feather in your collection's cap. Oh, and you forgot to mention the Freaks and Geeks "quasi-spinoff", Undeclared!

I loved "Undeclared!!" True story. During one of my cruise ship contracts, I had a bout of food poisoning from some bad late-night room service shrimp cocktail, and the whole next day I was in excrutiating abdominal pain. The way I coped with it (and attempted to distract myself from said pain) was to binge watch the entire "Undeclared" TV series. Some day I'll have to watch it again in a more serene state of mind and body. Thanks for the comment!!

That's one incredibly detailed DPS! The Dell inks look so good over Bagley's pencils - love the delicate linework. Congrats, this one is PERFECT for your collection!

I remember seeing this spread years ago right after John Dell had inked it, and I was blown away, for sure. Congrats on acquiring it!

Wow, one of Bagley's recent best, no doubt! Crazy in terms of composition, and you can tell Dell did not skimp at all. The detail in the inks definitely levels the image up. Those 2 really doing their thing here. Whew. Congrats, man!

I suppose John Dell got crazy while inking this HUGE DPS by Bagley. What a beauty with almost everyone inside.
Little, big grail pick!
