Batsman by Gene Gonzales and Simon Gough

Gene Gonzales occassionally does what he calls "Conventionless Convention Sketches" where he does one-character sketches at a discount from home. I usually try to get a couple from him each time as he always does excellent work. Gene is the first artist I've commissioned to finish his Batsman piece so it's the first one in this set and what a great piece to start off with! Gene has Batsman leaping off the page at the viewer with plenty of those smart-fabric bats flying into action. I then passed this drawing on to Simon Gough so that he could work his magic on it and he made this commissione even better! I love the blues in the background and how the light is shown on the bats. Big thanks again to both Gene and Simon for another excellent collaboration!
