DescriptionX-Men 137 is on a lot of collectors' lists, so I was ecstatic to get a page, any page, from it.I always thought this establishing shot of the final battleground added a lot to the issue's atmosphere. That face in the moon definitely sticks out in my memory. And it's a 3/4 splash, so it shows nicely in a frame! Social/Sharing |

It's a great page ruined by Byrnes huge signature. Sign the top, bottom or sides not in the actual artwork.

Even though this was a double sized issue, there STILL aren't enough pages to go around! COngrats on getting a really nice page!

The X-Men enter the stage of their greatest tragedy. This is not comics, it's Shakespeare! An incredible piece, definetely priceless, congrats.

This story changed the way I looked at comics. It raised the bar by leaps and bounds in words/storytelling and art. You are fortunate to own a piece of history. Nicely done.

There is not much point in highlighting the historical relevance of this page. Better to focus on the artistci quality of the lunar landscape and the timeless shot of the X-Men. Thank you for posting this!

Congratulations on a magnificent page, BYRNE and AUSTIN at their artistic peak. If I were you, I would get those word balloons professionally restored, as the browning detracts in that lower panel from the beauty of this piece.

While the story boiled down in the end to the very personal relationship between Jean and Scott, but it was wrapped around moments of great spectacle and awe like this one.

Just amazing!! I always thought Byrne left all that room up top for copy from Claremont, but all he got was a "wow." Maybe it's not an X-Man saying "wow," but it's actually Claremont saying "WOW" to Byrne! WOW!!

An amazing piece from one of the best comics ever published. Claremont had the luxury of building up a story with amazing characterization over a thirty issue span (which is unheard of these days) and brought it all to an incredible climax in this amazing book. With your three quarter splash and the (nearly) whole team shot, this is a gem of a page. Congratulations on owning a piece of comics history.

One of the greatest superhero stories ever -- a good friend of mine met a lifelong friend because they were both in tears after reading the end of this back in 1980. A real piece of history.

Another fantastic page spoiled for me by John Byrnes horrible misplaced signature. Why, John, why do you do it?
