Description

I was honored to meet one of my art heroes Mike Allred at Emerald City this year. His work on X-Force/X-STATIX meant everything to me in terms of getting me hooked on the coolness of comics and interested in drawing. The guy is a rock star. I couldn't believe this was still in his portfolio. Mike said he drew them on different pieces of paper b/c he wasn't sure who was getting killed off. Various versions of the never before seen extra figure covers are printed in the back of the X-STATIX omnibus. This is the whole team The Orphan (aka Mr. Sensitive/ Guy Smith), Doop, Phat, Deadgirl, Spike, Tike Alicar, Vivisector, Venus Dee Milo, the lovely (white trash hot) U-Go-Girl and more! Side note: I told Mike I love the way he drew "white trash hot" and I'm pretty sure I freaked him out. This is both the Issue #1 & trade cover. A grail piece for me!

What an amazing set of images! These will look awesome framed side by side, or maybe with one huge 4-panel mat taking up a whole wall.
