DescriptionWhen you talk about erotic heat in comic art, you might think of Caniff, Frazetta, Matt Baker? Manara? Crepax? Eisner? Jeff Jones, Adam Hughes? Everett? Bode? Well, submitted for your consideration: Frank King. He could if he wanted to.This strip was cut in two and the artwork slightly trimmed in order to fit into a standard frame (see additional image). If you look closely you can see where the missing pieces have been painstakingly recreated using vintage paper (by Gordon Christman). Social/Sharing |

A case of Double Nostalgia: Not only for the pair's earlier days; but also for the artist and his early forays into shadows and silhouettes. Congrtas on getting this.

Gorgeous use of light and shadows. It is a brilliant revisiting of themes and styles from over 25 years before for King. Great find and thank you for having it restored for future generations of art collectors.

King did some awesome dailies using shadows, this is obviously one of them. Great job on the restoration as well, I had used him before on my Rusty Riley daily, highly recommended!

I was remiss in not commenting on this when you first got it. This is probably my favorite King GA daily ever! I love this strips where he plays with light and shadows and (on the Sundays) colors. Just wonderful!
