DescriptionIt took some doing to pull this one down, but it's instantly one of my favorite pieces. The Infinity Man was a character Jack never got to develop--we don't know his origin, how he got connected to the Forever People, or really anything about him (I disregard anything that any subsequent creators may have done with him). Jack killed him off in this issue, forced to wrap up the whole Fourth World on short notice from DC. Mark Evanier said Jack had a whole multi-issue Infinity Man storyline in mind that he never got to do.Social/Sharing |

It's soars with the Kirby dynamics and Royer polish! Those last two panels are pure delight! No matter what costume you put on these figures, they speak the language of Kirby.

High-flying and low-fallen! Great Kirby/Royer earthly/unearthly drama!

Great Kirby page - the third panel is quiet but the movement looks so natural.

Magnificent page! As atypical as it may seem, I love the butterfly creature in the first panel, a kind of yin in the yang...

There was so much potential in that character. If only Jack had been given the chance to flesh him and his connection to the kids out. As a fan of Infinity Man, I must say, great page.

Yes, I thought Infinity Man was super cool - the design, the powers, all great. But Kirby either never really figured out or got the chance to figure out what to do with him. That last panel is Kirby x infinity.

As much as I enjoy Kirby's Forever People, I always wanted more Infinity Man, with a page just like this, congrats!

The King! A glorious page. I love the angle for the third panel, showinig Infinity Man dragging himself off the ground. Such a shame the run was ended.

Nobody could make a person fly into your face like Kirby. The last panel is simply marvelous.
