Thanos Copter a stone classic! From Spidey Super Stories #39 cover dated March
1979, on sale December 1978

The way I figure is Salicrup was seriously tripping when he wrote this now classic Thanos/Cat/Spidey story.

A favorite piece from collection. Easily the most fun $50 on art I ever spent, way back in Spring 2000

A classic Marvel probably hopes never resurfaces especially right before the Infinity War movies. I'd love to know the untold story of Thanos seeking out a guy who details helicopters and wonder if he haggled on the price to put his name on the side. Bravo!

Love that he felt the need to put his name on the copter as we had nametags on our clothes when we were kids. Like, was there an airplane field where some heroes and villains had to paint their name on their copters just to be sure no one else is gonna borrow them for a ride.

In leaked footage that someone told me about, the THANOS COPTER features prominently in Avengers: Infinity War Endgame. The Avengers just couldn't find a way to defeat it. The leaked footage also revealed that THANOS put his name on the COPTER so no one would take it, just like you would do with your 5th grade lunchbox. Congratulations on an instant classic!

Ye who have seen the Thanos Copter and not smiled, have no soul. Spidey Super-Stories is the gift that keeps on giving. (Long ago, in a galaxy --er... country far away, I gave a run, including, I believe, the issue with the Thanos Copter, to a teacher of kids with learning disabilities. She said her kids really enjoyed them.)
