DescriptionThis is a 6 page complete story I picked up many years ago at a show in New York. Title is, "Abels Fabels: Jack and Jill", and it looks to be unpublished. First inventoried by D.C. in 1971 (although there is another stamp with the year 1967 on it -- this is standard 10 x 15 inch images, not twice-up) and re-inventoried every year until "Written Off" in 1977. Very cool story where HOS host Abel tells some young kids his version of the classic Jack and Jill story which focuses on a couple of 1930's era gangsters who act suspiciously like Bonnie and Clyde. I like Dillin's work, but the inks on this story by Frank Giacoia really make the pages strong. Enjoy!Social/Sharing |
