Okay, I am at a NYC Con at the Javits Center about 17 years ago, when who do I spot in Artist's alley...Harry Lampert -- first artist to ever draw The FLASH in comics! I don't mean I spot him because I recognize him, but because of the small sign in front of him. Of course, most of the fanboys are lining up for Rob Liefeld autographs, and nobody is even talking to Harry. After much gentle prodding (read: begging) Harry agrees to do a quickie head-shot of the Golden Age Flash for me. No Charge! It was the first convention he had ever attended. I don't know whether to be proud or dismayed, but a buddy of mine at the time mentioned that he should contact Sotheby's Auction house, since they would probably love to help him sell some color recreations. After that, Harry started making some good retirement money....Another very nice Golden Age Legend...
