Description

This is in the same condition that we bought it in in the 1980s, but...how to fix it? John Severin used to work for repro and didn't particularly care what the originals looked like as long as they printed the way he wanted. I haven't seen any of his more recent originals in person so don't know if he changed his outlook or methodology over the years. But this was one of his drawings for the first Middle Earth Kull portfolio�and he said his only nude: he drew the piece in ink on vellum (with white paint for corrections), added zipatone to the sky, then rubber cemented it to a piece of drawing paper, drew a little more, then rubber cemented THAT to a piece of cardboard. Cripes! How to preserve it? How to fix it? We're going to have to take it to a restorer at some point, but are a little afraid it'll shatter or explode or something once the process starts.
