Description

This was painted as the cover for the novel of the same name by Dennis McKieman. A fantasy trilogy preceeded it with covers by Alan Lee that employed an ornate border around the art. When Bober was given the job for this prequel/sequel/whatever he was asked to do a similar treatment for the border to tie the four books together.

Bober's paintings are incredibly lush; they posess an Old World quality with a distinctly contemporary spin.
