DescriptionPosting THREE 11x17 commission pieces tonight.I'm usually not a commission guy, as I prefer published works. But when I saw some examples of Raphael's AMAZING art, I immediately asked for three commission slots, where I could pick out characters and background. And the whole process couldn't have gone more smoothly. He finished them up quickly, and I think you'll agree that he poured his heart and soul into each one. His figurework and level of background detail are both so impressive. Look at all that detail (and extra characters) in the stained glass windows! You get Rogue and Gambit, plus in the lower right, you get Nightcrawler, Wolverine and Colossus. So cool! And he's only 17 years old! I wish him only the best with his career, and I hope by posting some of his works, I can help promote him a bit. Special thanks to Comix Art Connect for helping to engineer my three-commission deal. Winner winner chicken f'n dinner!!! This is AWESOME. I love the details in the stained glass and the weight that he has given Remy in contrast! Brilliant!

The pose, aesthetic, and attitude all point towards the 90's and the height of Gambit's popularity when drawn by Lee and appearing in the animated series. Pool captures it all with a taste of the time period before he was born!

Love his smirk, and that upward perspective combined with the pose and background? Perfecto! Got a Jim Lee vibe to it, which is of course a good thing. A 17 year old wunderkind young Mr. Pool is! Congrats!

Just amazing! I love the darkness on that splash!!! As usual, inks shine with their own light in all your selected art pieces!!!!

Wow! Will be interesting to see where this guy is 10 (or even 5) years from now. He's got a great sense of design and composition. Love the gritty linework.

Clearly, Raphael loves Jim Lee's art! But I have to say that my favourite part of this piece is the stained glass motif! Superbly done!
