More Mannion magic.

This is Steve's variant cover to Classic Popeye 30, published by Yoe Comics and IDW.

When I saw the art, I actually asked Steve who the girl was.

Then I was like "What ?!?". After I saw the colored version with Olive Oyl's classic colors, it made sense. But now we know why Popeye and Bluto were always fighting over Olive.

For good measure, Steve added Wimpy and Geezil.

The 1st additional image features Steve's digital "inks". He definitely turned the art up a notch. And note that Olive's cigarette was changed to a lipstick.

The 2nd additional image has Steve's colors added. Steve likes a limited palette, so we basically have red, white and blue.

The 3rd additional image is the printed cover. The comic doesn't have any gloss which gives it a nice vintage look.

Popeye, Olive Oyl and Bluto were created by Elzie Crisler Segar.

J. Wellington Wimpy and George W. Geezil were created by Elzie Crisler Segar.
