Description

Beautiful super-early page from the classic story ��Topolino e il Terrore dei Mari��, which was first published in the Italian Topolino 66-68 in 1953. Many questions have always surrounded this story, as it was traced from the 1952 British Mickey Mouse story ��The Reluctant Pirate��, by Harold Whitaker & Ronald Nielsen (first published in the British Mickey Mouse Weekly 642-668). The INDUCKS page lists Luciano Nustrini as the possible artist (tracer?) on the Terrore dei Mari story�

The page itself (page 12 of the 3rd part) is gorgeous with Mickey�s ancestor pondering his life as a pirate captain, before Mickey & Gamma (the oldest surviving non-Gottfredson artwork of this character, that I�m aware of) make their entrance. This is the only page, that I have ever seen from this story�I�d love to know if more might have survived�
