DescriptionI traded away this beautiful gem five years ago, and although I got a fabulous piece in return (as yet unposted -- a guy's gotta keep SOME secrets), I always hoped I'd get this one back.And a very short while ago, I did! Thanks, Jason, you're the best!! This has always been one of my very favorite Thor covers. A cover image of Donald Blake transforming into Thor is a rarity, and you also get Odin peering down from above. There's even more great art underneath the title logo. Also, I think DeCarlo's inks are outstanding. Kirby crackle!! Of course M.C. Wyman provided some amazing pencils for Mike to work with. I've always enjoyed Thor transformation images. I think this is the first I've seen as a cover!

From the era of even bigger and bolder armored Thor costumes. Lots of energy radiates from this cover! The blocks of trade dress really enhance how powerful this cover is in the 90's style of big events for big characters.

Beautiful cover and an even more beautiful story. This piece was meant to return like the sword (or Mjolnir) to its rightful owner. Lol Congrats!

Eat your Wheaties, kiddies. Cause then you can tap a wooden cane on the ground to grow up to be a big and strong thunder god! I always loved this cover. Thor is the only comic run I decided to completely finish, because of awesomeness like this (and the stories that rocked, of course). Great re-find! Re-congrats!

Effective cover for sure! I like the layers as you move back - Donald to Thor to Odin. And you got some Kirby Krackle! Also like how big the title lettering is on this one - really adds to the grandeur of the image. Congrats, Paul!

if ya let what you love go and it comes back to you. then you know it is meant to be and this is a great deal. i don't know much about M.C. Wyman professional work. i have only seen a couple of handfulls of his pin ups and everything of his work is top notch. this cover tho, is the tip top of notch. congrats
