DescriptionI've been overly selective in adding a Sin City page to my collection. I wanted something memorable, and from one of my favorite stories, and I wanted it to be a page or sequence that was a key moment from that story.I've passed on more pages than I can even remember. Too late, wrong story, wrong content, wrong characters, over and over...then this one popped up for sale. From the climactic final issue of Big Fat Kill, this page caught my eye and checked all the boxes. Thanks to Justin for letting it go. Dwight, ransoming Gail back with the severed (and booby-trapped ) head of Jack...with the slide from his .45 still lodged in his skull and a mouthful of grenade ready to reward Gail's kidnappers, including Manute and the turncoat Becky, with a hail of shrapnel. Frank Miller gives us gorgeous panels of each character and wraps this page in the hard rain of that Sin City alleyway and the negative space silhouettes of the moment just before all hell breaks loose. And this page, these panels, this dialogue are all featured memorably and faithfully in the film. I am glad I waited for this one. Social/Sharing |

Sometimes if you wait for the right page...it shows up.

Miller's layout looks like a collection of headshot photos in a scrapbook to show they are somehow family connected in the twisted Sin City manner! The negative space in the last image fully connects these players through guns, rain, and the stark contrast of black and white.

Iconic FM Sin City imagery - you definitely waited for the right piece! Congrats! Really love the negative space scene at the bottom. Such great story telling on display.

Absolute winner of a page! Would display beautifully framed up on the wall. So much Miller and SIN CITY crammed into one page. Congrats!!

Wonderful example of what made this landmark book so incredibly special. All the violence and brutality is left to the reader's imagination. Creating a severed head more grotesk than any other illustration would yield. The use of blacks is done to perfection.
Pure genius on full display here!
Congratullations on adding a piece of comics history to your collection.

Great Sin City page! Lots of majoy characters. It's got both a regular silhouette (6th) panel) and a reverse silhouette (Bottom panel). It's a memorable moment. Checks all the boxes. Great pick-up!

Methinks things are about to escalate, Sin City style.
