DescriptionI never thought I would have the money to own a Hughes piece. For what his work is, it is absolutely worth what people charge for it. This is an example of persistence and luck.I am the poster artist for the South Attleboro Comic Con (which you can see in my gallery and one of about three artists that are there for sketches, etc.), which is about every other month in a small Knights of Columbus Hall in Attleboro, MA. Rarely is there original art, but at a show a few months back this was on a back wall in one of the booths. It's beat to hell and yellowed and dedicated to a comic shop that I know pretty well that carries my self-published books (thanks Matt!). I framed it, it flattened it out and now it looks pretty nice. The seller was more than generous on the price, and he slashed it more since I was a local artist. Known Provenance: Initially sold or given to Comicopia (A comic store in Boston, MA) by Adam Hughes Unknown Hands I Purchased from a comic and art dealer at the Attleboro Toy and Comic Show 2011 or 2012. I was told it was bought in a collection from a private collector (not ComiCopia) Social/Sharing |

I remember searching this book out way back. I think the yellowing of the paper actually gives Adams' work a nice look. Glad it found it's way to a good home, congrats

Thanks Colin! One of those dumb luck days at a small show for me. The Attleboro show is not around anymore. Harry still runs shows in Franklin these days.
