Description

I've always wanted a Spidey origin page and this was a fantastic one by Pat Oliffe with several homages to Ditko's Spidey. UTOSM was a great short-lived series set in the early days of Spider-Man's career and it was a much more pleasant and coherent read than the clone saga that was being released at the same time in the 90's. Big thanks to Derick for this piece, purchased at last year's CAF live.

A mega selling first issue priced at only 99 cents and the origin recap to get the bigger audience caught up! Like the intention of the series itself, Oliffe made his art to fit in between issues of the Ditko ASM run!

The only reason why I picked it up in the first place was because it had a 99cent price tag! Only to find out later it was written by the brilliant Kurt Busiek.

Impossible not to love a Spidey origin recap page. And the villains at the bottom are a wonderful bonus. Congrats buddy!

Thanks Eric! Yeah I thought it was odd he put Doom as one of Spidey's marquee villain, but he did appear in issue 5 of the series!
