DescriptionMy buddy Chris Snorek told me to check out this artist named Carlos Magno - as soon as I did I reached out about a commission. Carlos was excited when I said, "How about Spidey taking on some bank robbers in a van." Well as you can see the result is spectacular.Carlos sent me images of the pencils, and the pencils and inks are actually two separate pieces. I am just blow away by this piece - the detail and the depth of the values really make this composition. Social/Sharing |

Magno is a star in the making and his work gets better all the time! His work on the Kang series is full of rich detail just like this one that could easily be looked at as publishable quality. The high level of dynamism and heightened tension with Spidey in action gets even more high energy with the radiation speed lines in the background.

You don't bring guns to a Spidey fight, foolish thugs. And nice form on that kick, Peter. Chuck Norris would be proud. It's hard to believe that Magno did this for a commission. All that ink and ink wash? Lovely. And the composition of the scene is stellar. Good stuff. Congrats!
