I had been wanting an early piece of Mouse Guard art by David for a while and when I saw this piece listed on ebay I just had to try to pick it up. I sniped at the end and didn't get it but had just enough time to hit the bid next increment button. As luck would have it that was just enough to take the piece home.

The piece is already listed on CAF so must have been sold at least once because the person I purchased it from was not the original owner. The piece was purchased at a New York Convention back in 2006 so it is a nice example of a very early piece. What I love most about the piece is the stippling texture David used throughout the environment. Just a great piece of early Mouse Guard art that I am pleased to add to the collection.

Mouse Guard artwork is always a good choice. This is a nice example of David's early work.
