Description

This was the cover that I did for Ultimate Spider-Man #100 HERO Initiative charity. Before it was digitally censored when it was printed in the book.

I had a blast doing this. I used a regular ball point pen to draw Mary Jane. I'm hoping to do more ball point art in the future.

the marvel 100 book I got this weekend is probably the closest thing I will ever get to a Cho Mary Jane!!! awesome

You should have pushed the Serpieri's influece a bit farer :p Would have made tons of money I bet.And then be censored with fruit pie covering everything and not appearing in the book...Sorry...

Fantastic work, I love the contrast of the Serperi-inspired crosshatching on MJ with Spidey's closeup. Even more amazing that it was all done with a ball point pen. Oh...and its a great T&A shot! :-p

the extensive cross hatching of mary jane works nicely with the deceptively simple looking few lines that render spidey. creates a nice balance! far too few artists don't understand the importance of contrast in background and foreground elements. sweet work frank! and who in their right mind doesn't like serpieri?? his work humbles my own meager abilities.
