DescriptionThis page was put up for sale earlier this year on Ebay. I was the winning bidder. Then I was informed by more knowledgeable people than I that the auction was fraudulent. It then was put up for sale on Heritage where I bought it again. It is good to be Heritage. If you have a really nice page from this run that you are willing to sell, please contact me. I am interested in the next page from this issue in particular.Social/Sharing |

Brings back great memories. My first X-Men book was 112, and I couldn't wait to get #113 in my hot little hands. Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on going the distance on this one. Definitely one really awesome top tier page from my favorite arc, 111-116.

Great example of early Byrne Austin. Great characters, great layout, great lights and shadows. Excellent!

Wow, there aren't many Byrne X-Men panel pages that are nicer than this one! That's an awesome acquisition, you must be over the moon, CONGRATULATIONS!

You posted this page 7.5 years ago, and I am just now getting around to posting a comment - the 25th in fact. Your perserverance paid off quite well. As Tom Coker wrote, Byrne finally cut loose here in the 111-116 story arc in order to show Wolverine's ferocity against the carnival workers in 111, against Magneto in 112/113, against Sauron in 115, and against the Sun God's minions in 116. Your page spotlights how Wolverine's failure in issue 112 (where Magneto used Wolverine's claws to knock himself out) is now resolved and vindicated within this scene.
