Cheers Davide, it's a real pity about the crease on the board, but, if this was in perfect condition it may never have ended up in our collection. So every cloud has a silver lining...! (I do intend getting it restored at some point and have even been in contact with Simon about it)

Truly fantastic artwork, can't believe the size!, I'm sure if you ironed the crease it would look good as new! :) seriously though in my experience a lot of his art doesn't leave him in pristine nick so it doesn't detract much from what is an outstanding painting

its a real shame with that fold. I'd charge you about $1200 to repair it. still a great piece but what a shame.

Thanks for the offer, but it's really not so bad in the flesh. You'd only notice the crease in artificial light.

Dont know where my comment went, but I said I was just bustin your chops, I wouldnt have the slightest idea how to fix this. lollll, Im more interested in knowing the back story tho. you really have a great collection of pieces. very jealous. ;)

What a brilliant piece! And it is huge. There are some pages just just surpass brilliance and this is one of them. Your other recent Bisley one is another (although not as well known). You have had a great year for collecting!

I'd leave the piece as it is and would just be careful with it. But that is just my humble opinion, I think it is awesome as it is!

What amazing about this painting is how carefully executed it is. There is a frantic energy to it yet you can see how methodically Simon applied the paint. The airbrushed highlights really give it a polished look.
