He did a cover for Strip! for Marvel UK featuring the Punisher and also depicted the character (alongside Spiderman) on The Comic Book Price Guide 1990 edition, Both were published in 1990 (a year or two before this one...)
Sorry to hear about that, it sounds pretty bad. We had a terrible experience with that particilar dealer ourselves...I've never contacted PayPal to reverse a transaction before, but made anwxceopton for them. They heard the story and immediately gave us the refund...
The whole ordeal (as well as a few other recent disasters) has practically turned us off collecting art...
it's a shame, because you have a cool of great Al Columbia pieces which have probably been soured for you...
Not mad on a lot of his more recent work, but this page is fantastic, Joe looks great in the top panel...lovely stuff.

There is very light pencil on the piece, but in the main it's completely black ink (from a pen), black marker, white out and black spray paint. The paper has yellowed and there are glue marks where the speech bubbles fell off...I have those somewhere and have been meaning to reattach them...
These were published pre-internet so a comics book artist's process was a complete mystery to me and these pages at the start of the Lobo graphic novel provided a real inspiration to me and probably many others who saw them
Fantastic, that he gave his robots character and personality yet keeping them true to their model sheets made Kev (for me) the greatest ABC Warrior artist ever alongside Bisley
Gorgeous! When you see Kevin Walker art in the flesh, it's difficult to believe that a human could do something so well designed and intricate. His colour sense is amazing
Super stuff, it's great to see how close his tryout was to the actual page, but also how much he came on too...these are fine pages and I'd love to see them published as bonus material in any future collection..
You kinda forget how beautiful these pages are! I had a problem with some of the artwork in Book III back in the day, particularly the splash pages. But seeing it today in the featured artwork, it really takes your breath away. What gorgeous colour and design. Fantastic stuff from one of the finest ever British Comics.
The book is called 'Frankenstein'...not 'The Monster'!! Who needs him? I love this page...so brilliantly executed. Big fan of the other two pieces...don't forget to mention that the unused title page uses a passage from 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' by Coleridge, which complements the piece so well....

In my opinion, one of the greatest covers of 2000AD...I remember cheering when I first laid eyes on it on the newsagent shelf...
FedEx have destroyed and mislaid two pieces belonging to me...and they won't take any responsibility ;and claimed they aren't insured for art) I wish there was some way you could get them...
This is my favourite of the unpublished pages...I've seen the original page (that was published) and there isn't a whole lot between them....

I know what you mean about those Doom Patrol covers (I love your linework piece btw), I have to pinch myself that myself and Trev have several in our collection...they are my favourite body of work by Biz..
I was going to mention 'Dream of a thousand cats' in my previous comment...i had no idea they were doing that own...so who knows? Redemption may be at hand...
PS: I will not stoop to the level of making low jokes such as 'they'll probably recast the cats as dogs...' because such things would surely be beneath me...
That's fantastic, great panel, you can see the charactrer of the people by their appendages...and I also believe that I've spotted the minuscule Extra-Terristrial...
It's also defintiely better than The Sandman (TV Series)...my cat concurs/conpurrs...

Very nice. Out of all the 'Famous Women in History' Bisley pieces, this is perhaps the most historically accurate and artistically justified....
It's a shame that this piece has been so quickly pushed back by the deluge of 13 coins pages that were put up by one poster which really should the classified section! I almost missed it. Anyways, it's a great and important Bisley piece from his peak period and the peak period (mid 80s to mid 90s) of comic art in general.

Hi Steve, just measured it there (rough estimate as it's in a frame and some of it is behind a border). It's approximately 36 inchs by 24 inchs (91cm x 60cm) a good bit bigger than most of the other covers we have.
Incredible haul from an wonderful, dynamic artist, whose ability is up there with the Masters. Big congrats on the additions to your estimable collection.
