DescriptionHow many people here can honestly say that they have their Grail?Well.. ...I do. My Favourite piece by my favourite artist... Of all the pieces by Simon Bisley, this has to be my top one, I've said it many times on social media and to everybody who knows me. As a youngster I copied this repeatedly and could draw parts of it off by heart. What appealed to me most was the outward innocence of the image which disintegrates upon closer inspection... A cautionary note... now I have my Grail it has become a part of my mundane, everyday existence, something that I may notice fleetingly when I'm dashing out the door late for work, with a handful of breakfast and think to myself 'there she is, the piece of art that I've wanted more than any other for the last 30 years...but life goes on as per always... I've had this for a while now but it is myself and Trevor's birthday...so why not put it up? Doom Patrol 46 featuring Crazy Jane and assorted mystical creatures and devils...so different to everything else he was doing at the time.. Art measures 12" x 15" and was created in 1991. Amazing! Always good to hear that a grail has found its home! Bisley's paintings in 1991 are incredible works of art even out of the context of comics. They embody the spirit of the series as well as his own mad genius!

I forgot to add, I have my grail and it only cost me about £100.00. Sometimes dreams do come true.

Not sure how I could missed this grail in your gallery, but it happened. I don`t know what to say so only HUGE congratulations !!! ANd one ticket into this outstanding museum please :).

As beautiful as it is frightening ! Grant Morrisons DP run was strange and superb to read, but all the Bisley covers were the real highlight!
