When I saw Dave Morris post this piece for sale here on CAF I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking at. Until I saw this piece I had no idea that Terry had originally thought about doing Strangers in Paradise as an anthropomorphic story. I knew at one point I had seen that Terry had drawn Katchoo as an anthropomorphic bear for a cover of a comic but I didn't realize that was an early design for the character. After a little quick research I knew I had to try to purchase the piece. It's not everyday you have the chance to purchase a piece by Terry Moore from 1993 let alone a piece featuring Francine as a dog. I inquired to see if the piece was still available and didn't hear back until late that night. Dave told me that he had purchased the piece from someone that was selling their anthropomorphic art collection back in the 90s and that he had owned the piece for well over a decade so the piece was fresh to the market. As soon as I heard it was still available it was mine.

When you look at piece you can immediately tell that it is Francine. She has Francine's long flowing hair and her figure is the same. The piece might not be perfectly in character with the Francine that we have come to love since she is carrying a rifle but you can see where Terry is going with the character. I love everything about the piece. You have this fantastic background that tells its own story and a very sexy Francine. What more could you ask for? Just a fantastic piece that I am thrilled to have in the collection.
