DescriptionCap by the great Jim Steranko! This image is copyright to Mr Steranko and is shown here with his permission.I contacted Mr. Steranko about this as I had heard he was accepting commissions. He quickly replied and we set something up. Mr Steranko was the ultimate professional and he kept me informed of the progress of the piece all along the way. The time lapse between the initial inquiry and the completion and shipment of the piece was less than 8 weeks which is ridiculously fast. It has always been a dream to own something done by Jim and I was not disappointed in the art itself (which will hang in my new office) or by the way I was treated. It was a GREAT transaction. I want to thank Mr. Steranko again (Love the ART!) and I also want to point out that I have received permission to show this in my CAF. I just saw that this is now one of the variant covers for Captain America 695! Social/Sharing |

It's funny, over time, many of these vintage artists change their styles, only want to draw certain characters or just simply don't put their heart into it as they did when they were trying to prove themselves as the hot new artist on a book way back when. But Steranko hasn't lost a step. This cover quality piece, along with a couple of some variant covers by him that you will see here and there, show that he's still creating some fine artwork. An excellent addition to an awesome collection.

Steranko double dipping and getting paid twice !!! No wonder he finished the commission so quickly. Lol. It is a beauty so you got yourself a great piece of published art for the price of a commission. Jim hasn't lost any of his artistic prowess. The lines are still firm and strong.
